Thursdays: Wedding Vendors on Etsy

So each Thursday I will feature an ETSY shop owner that creates items for weddings! How will I choose these vendors? There will be no specific criteria, he or she just has to be a vendor that catches my eye somehow, whether it be their unique vision, beautiful colors..that something that makes me say "Ohhh, I would have bought that for my wedding!" I am inspired all the time with all the talent and creativity on Etsy, I could spend hours just browsing through all the shops.

Today I feature seller ANNACRAFTS

The Etsy shop is at http://www.etsy.com/shop/annacrafts

The seller is based in South Korea, I love the variety and the selection is quite large, almost 200 cake toppers and related items to choose from!

Roxy Inspirations

Around this same time last year, I was planning my destination wedding in Punta Cana. With just two months to go, I was tackling seating arrangements, dress fittings, guest gifts, the cake, the food, my hair, makeup and one big worry for me was...the decor! How was I going to create an ambiance of tropical beachy flair but without spending thousands? I asked my wedding coordinator at the resort we were having the wedding, and just one small vase centerpiece with orchids and roses cost almost $200 each! That was out of our budget, so I started thinking about what I could do to cut the costs down.

Bestdestinationwedding.com was my favorite place to go and chat with other brides-to-be on everything weddings, so I thought I'd aim for putting together my own centerpieces. I knew I loved the floating candle and flower look, so I set out on a mission to put them together. After a few trips to Michael's, A.C. Moore, the dollar stores, and Amazon.com, I had all the items I needed to give this a shot. My wedding colors were tangerine, and I found these pretty orange mini lilies at Michael's.

After some testing and trimming, I created the centerpiece that is my main blog image. I got so many compliments at the wedding, and I loved making them, that I started making other looks for my home and my family. Maybe six months after the wedding, after lots of encouragement from my husband and family, I opened up my shop on Etsy, and RoxyInspirations came to life!

Slowly but surely, I plan on building my shop to feature a variety of centerpieces for all tastes and budgets. There is really no need to spend thousands of dollars on centerpieces for your wedding, with a little vision and time, you can create your own unique centerpiece for your dream wedding. Of course, nowadays we are so busy with work, family, school, and life in general, that planning a wedding seems like a daunting task. It doesn't have to be! That is where the idea for my centerpiece kits came in.

If you can go to one place to get all the items you need for a beautiful centerpiece, at a fraction of the cost of ordering it from your florist, would you shop there?

Check out my shop on Etsy and let me know what you think! What colors would you like to see more of? Want to know how to put these together yourself? Contact me!
